a day cropping

Yesterday was a day out for me and other scrappers! We had a great time, and great prizes too! Here are a few pictures of all there. Thanks to Kim for this day.

Hello

Long time no post! Well, I am getting ready for a crop, where I am a vendor for Close to My Heart, and 2 workshops! Of course, it would be a LOT easier if it all wasn't due by Saturday! Yes, yes I know! I have been working on swaps as well. Seems never to be a dull moment around here! LOL.

I will post the pictures for the black and white swap. The pictures may not show the embossing on the photo mats. I am using my cuttlebug embossing plates for the technique. Hope that counts!

I also need to gather enough material for the make and takes, for 50 people at the swap for Saturday, April 26 located at the Muskie Center in Waterville Maine. I believe there are still seats available. Bring your own bagged lunch, and a potluck for the supper, or dessert. The cost at the door is $20. Not a bad price for 8am to 8pm! Can get a LOT of layouts or cards done in that amount of time.

Last Saturday I was at a crop for Creative Memories, with Gena. I must say I had a blast won some prizes (thanks Rachel for drawing my name!), and completed 40 layouts. Woo whoooooo!

Well, I must go now and take a shower before the girls get up. I am rather late in starting my day, but as this is vacation week, it really is ok.

Birthdays

Today I am 54 years old. Where does the time go? It seems like lately it blows away like the wind in the trees. Even though it is April 10th, we still have no leaves on the trees as yet, so the wind blows through without anything in it's way to slow it down. That is how TIME seems to be for me today. Fliting about with nothing to slow it down.

My boys are all grown and have families of their own now. Seems like yesterday they were babies. What fun they were! And so full of energy! We had so much fun. I grew up with my boys, having them at an early age of 18! Looking at the ages of some new moms today, you could say that that was not an early age. But it was then.

I am very glad for my children. I have and continue to enjoy their company. It seems that we do not all get together often enough. Tuesday night we had a family get together here and had a wonderful time. Wish everyone could have stayed longer. We celebrated the April birthdays: Marshall's is the first, mine the 10th and Mark's is the 29th.

April 1st

Today is commonly known as April Fools day! To all of those people that have been born on this day Happy Birthday to you! A special one to you Marshall!

It seems that this week is a busy one for me. I have not one, but two card workshops. Whew! Finally finished the last card kit last night and packed everything away for today. Saves time when I can do that, like lay out the girls clothes for the next day where they can get to them (and they do not have mismatched clothing to wear). Also saves me time when I can get my clothes layed out as well, and hubby, well he takes over the choosing of his cloths! LOL.

I finished the two swaps for Lisa and sent them out Monday. I have already posted the Lucy one now for the spiderman one. When I took the pictures of these layout, I did not have them glued down. Obviously did that after the pictures were taken.

I should remember the photos always goes to the top. Hmmmmnnnn, wonder how to change it. Oh well that will have to be a project for another time as mine has run out. Must get ready for this day already! Yes my day starts early!
