Easter Card

Easter is almost here! So I have been working on some cards. I have one finished and will show you what it looks like.

I used the cuttlebug embossing folder, swiss dots along with the CTMH stampsets Joy Forever and Eastertime. I first stamped the flowers and leaves on white card stock, cut them out and put glitter on the edges and in the center of the flowers. When dry, I took my stylus and dry embossed the edges and the middle to make them more realistic.

Then I embossed the white card stock with the swiss dots, stamped the basket weave onto the embossed card stock. Stamped happy Easter with another CTMH stamp set, the name of that one eludes me, pop dotted the flowers and leaves when dry, and this is what I got.

Hope you like.

Time

Time seems to fly by in an instant. Hard to believe it has been so long since I have added anything to my blog. So sorry everyone.

Not sure everyone knows this, but here goes. My girls daycare provider has had pnemonia and was in the hospital for 3 nights last week. I covered for her with the kiddos. Since it was a vacation week the most I had were 8. Not a bad number at all.

They are a good bunch of kids for the most part. Although they like playing outside, and would have loved to be out more, it was so muddy I didn't let them.

We had a good time anyway and made Patsy and Joan some get well cards. I found out the kids REALLY liked the card making, so I will plan on making something different with them soon.

The time is getting late, and I must get ready for my day. I will be back later and post some Easter cards I have been making.

So for now, have a great day.

Friends

Here I sit at my computer this morning thinking how lucky I am to be blessed with FRIENDS. Having friends is great! Playing with friends is fantastic! Yes even adults need to go and play with their friends! Your kind of "play" will depend on what you like to do. My kind of play is scrapbooking and card making (of course), sewing; knitting and other crafty things. When you and your friends get together and do what you like doing, it can be THE most relaxing and INSPIRING outlet ever! If you haven't tried it yet, DO IT! I highly recomend it. It will do wonders for your soul, make you able to tackle anything the week can bring you. And it will help you keep your peace of mind, when you need it the most.

When you look on here at the posts I have made, you will see some of my friends. Of course not all are here! Some are more camera shy than others. LOL.

My friends and I have said that we need to get away one day a month, at LEAST, to do shopping, scrapbooking or just CREATING! Just us, no young children or hubbies. I love the fellowship with my friends. Sometimes it is just wonderful to get with a bunch of ladies and have a good time.

My business (I am a Close to my Heart consultant, scrapbooking) has helped me to find more friends as well. So not only do I love my job, I end up finding more friends! Now I don't know about you, but I can never have TOO many friends!

So enjoy the friends you have, make a few more and have a blessed day!

Winter layouts

Here are the gals working on their layouts. Industrious bunch of women! Working so hard and being so creative.
Here are the cast of characters. From left to right: Daryl and April ( Belinda's mom); Heather and Silvia ( in the dark pink); Belinda is holding up one of her layouts; hey wait a minute! How did I get in there? Ok I am the one in the pink, talking to Heather.
Great bunch of ladies to work with. I must say I really enjoy going over and showing them just how easy it really is to make nice looking pages to hold your important pictures. And I enjoy their company too!

Christmas Layouts

I thought it only wise I add in the Christmas layouts I did for Belinda's last scrapbooking workshop. I have 2 workshops a month with Belinda and her gang. Usually the first part of the month is for scrapbooking and the later part of the month is for card making or other altered items. These ladies are a fun group to be with! I am so happy they are making time to scrap and stamp with me! Thank you ladies for joining me in my classes. Thanks too to Belinda for hosting these outings for me. OK, here we go with the pictures! Enjoy!
Okay, now I have a couple of duplicates in there and I do not know how to delete them without deleting everything, so I will leave them here.
I do workshops customized to you and your friends, in your home or mine. I am also looking for a large enough space to hold crops. If interested leave me a message here as well as an email address and I will contact you.
Have a blessed day and happy scrapping.

Monday's layouts

Here are Monday's workshops layouts I am having at Belinda's house tomorrow morning.
I have several techniques used here, random stamping; heat set embossing, for color emerging; sponging; and using the cuttlebug for dry embossing. Enjoy!
Now If I could only figure out how to put pictures in here so they would be in order! LOL!
I have used CTMH card stock and the following ink colors: petal, amethyst and lilac mist.

Sickness

Yes we are sick here. Bronchitis and asmatha are visiting us again, as well as the coughing from post nasal drip. As you can well imagine, we are all tired here. These days are not as often as last year, thank God. Each year we get healthier, and more resistant to germs. Here is a few photos from this morning. On the left is Emily with her fishface treatment, and next to her is sister Destiny inhaling the vapors from the vaporizer. They seem to be enjoying the company of each other.
Spring will be here soon, and we will enjoy the outside more. Even swatting flies and mosquitos will seem a welcome change to this winter wonderland we are living in now.
Have a good day and enjoy those around you.

Another Bella card

For those of you out there in blogger land that have never heard of Bella's before, here is another card. Bubblebella is her name.

For those of you that want to know where to get a Bella stamp, go to http://www.stampingbella.com/ and you can look to your hearts content and even purchase if you so choose.

I used the birthday embossing folder and my cuttlebug to texturize my card front, and added stickles to the bubbles. Believe me this card is so much better looking in person than here in my picture.

Have a great day, and do something for yourself!

new card

Here is my take on wineobella! Hope you like. Thank you so much Lisa for the images.
Not sure if you can see on the picture but this bella has happy birthday all over it on the sunny yellow BT from Close to my Heart. Since purple is my favorite color, I used hydranga for the card base. Wineobella was stamped on colonial white and distressed with the hydranga ink and the yellow flowers from the Close to My Heart Spring Blossoms. I added glitz with lavender stickles and diamond stickles. I hope everyone likes it that has joined the Bella swap.
If you are having a hard time seeing the cards, click on it and it will get larger. Let me know how you like them.

What's in a name? Here is mine:

What Kathleen Means
You are a seeker of knowledge, and you have learned many things in your life. You are also a keeper of knowledge - meaning you don't spill secrets or spread gossip.People sometimes think you're snobby or aloof, but you're just too deep in thought to pay attention to them. You are usually the best at everything ... you strive for perfection. You are confident, authoritative, and aggressive. You have the classic "Type A" personality. You are a seeker. You often find yourself restless - and you have a lot of questions about life. You tend to travel often, to fairly random locations. You're most comfortable when you're far away from home. You are quite passionate and easily tempted. Your impulses sometimes get you into trouble. You are truly an original person. You have amazing ideas, and the power to carry them out.Success comes rather easily for you... especially in business and academia. Some people find you to be selfish and a bit overbearing. You're a strong person. You are relaxed, chill, and very likely to go with the flow. You are light hearted and accepting. You don't get worked up easily.Well adjusted and incredibly happy, many people wonder what your secret to life is.You are friendly, charming, and warm. You get along with almost everyone. You work hard not to rock the boat. Your easy going attitude brings people together. At times, you can be a little flaky and irresponsible. But for the important things, you pull it together. You are very intuitive and wise. You understand the world better than most people. You also have a very active imagination. You often get carried away with your thoughts. You are prone to a little paranoia and jealousy. You sometimes go overboard in interpreting signals
